One of the oldest public libraries in the world is the main research library of the University of Oxford which dates back to the 15th century. Bodleian Library, aka “the Bod,” is the second-largest library in Britain with more than 11 million items, contains 117 miles of shelving and has seating space for up to 2,500 readers.
