Daintree National Park is part of the wet tropics of Queensland, and is famous for its exceptional biodiversity including numerous rare and endangered species. Another remarkable feature is the coastal lowland area where the rainforest meets the sea. Two distinct sections comprise this UNESCO World Heritage Site: Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation.
