Beverly Hills was incorporated in 1914 two years after the construction of the renowned Beverly Hills Hotel began. Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford were the first movie stars to build a mansion in the new city in 1919. I had this tour on 20th March 2026. The tour guide was Leo Liu. He was friendly. He explained everything to our group in English and Mandarin, answered our questions patiently, pointing out spots to take pictures and even helped us took our photos which I greatly appreciated. He was a like a new friend on this trip, sharing tidbits of life in LA, the history of it and also good food to try.
