Linking Lower Manhattan with Brooklyn, this 6,855-foot New York City suspension bridge carries 450,000 commuters across the East River with seven motor vehicle lanes, four subway lanes and a bicycle and pedestrian path. The Manhattan Bridge was designed by Leon Moisseiff and opened in 1909. Architectural firm Carrère and Hastings created an ornate arched entrance with a colonnade on the Manhattan side of the bridge several years later. The American Society of Civil Engineers named the bridge a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 2009. The Manhattan Bridge has been featured in many Hollywood movies including "The Dark Knight Rises" in 2012, "The Taking of Pelham 123" in 2009, "King Kong" in 2005 and "Once Upon a Time in America" in 1984.

Manhattan Night Tour from New York

I had an amazing evening on this Manhattan night tour! The photo stops at DUMBO and Dragon Gate Square were perfect, and the views of the Brooklyn Bridge lit up at night were breathtaking. Passing through Lower Manhattan and Midtown, the skyline looked absolutely cinematic. Highly recommend for anyone wanting stunning nighttime cityscapes!

The 90 - Minute Statue of Liberty Island Cruise was an unforgettable adventure. The clear views of the city's landmarks, including the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, and the magnificent Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, were truly remarkable. Departing from Pier 78 was convenient, and the entire cruise was well - managed. It was a great way to explore New York City and I'm so glad I took this cruise.
