Badwater Basin Map / Location

The lowest point in North America is this Death Valley National Park area that is 282 feet below sea level. Badwater Basin includes a pool fed by a stream as well as many salt flats. The pool that collects salt from its surrounding land has undrinkable water giving the area its name of "bad water." The basin features an often photographed sign noting its elevation.
