Santa Justa Lift Map / Location
Get a view of Lisbon from the Santa Justa Lift. Completed in 1901, the lift was one of many constructions built to help residents overcome the steep inclines of the city. Originally powered by a steam engine, the now electric iron elevator provides access to the Higher District (Bairro Alto) from Baixa district, located 32 meters below.
