Best Hassan Tower Tours & Trips

This red-sandstone minaret of an incomplete mosque is Rabat’s most famous landmark. Hassan Tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world but in 1199, Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour died and construction on the mosque stopped. The tower reached 140 feet, about half of its intended height, and the rest of the mosque was also left unfinished.
