Situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, this Chicago 24.5-acre park is part of the larger Grant Park. Plans for Millennium Park began in 1997 led by then-Mayor Richard M. Daley and was completed in 2004. Famous architect Frank Gehry was involved in planning the park and designed its BP Bridge. It contains Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, Crown Fountain, Lurie Garden, BP Bridge, Millennium Monument, Boeing Galleries and the Chase Promenade. Millennium Park has received numerous awards for its design throughout the years.
