The off season allows me to book an affordable but amazing tour. Obviously I didn’t have to worry about unanticipated problems from popular tourist areas during the peak season, such as lengthy lines, limits on merchants and beggars, or a..n overabundance of travel services. In Halong Bay - a key destination, the atmosphere was more peaceful and relaxed and gave me a greater opportunity to get immersed in the local culture. This was my first trip out of Europe. Thanks to Realistic Asia, the trip was well organised, plenty of places to visit and things to do, a great range of included and optional activities, which were all well worth doing. We were lucky enoug..h to have responsible and funny tour guides because we were well looked after. However, I wish I had bought a local sim card so it would be more convenient for us to travel there. With a sim card, you can not only easily contact tour guides and operators but also book grab instead of taxi because it’s cheaper and takes a shorter time to book.
