Sea Organ Map / Location

The Sea Organ in Zadar, Croatia, is a unique architectural sound art installation built into the waterfront stone steps. Designed by architect Nikola Bašić and completed in 2005, it harnesses the energy of the Adriatic Sea to produce hauntingly beautiful harmonic tones through a system of underground pipes. As waves pass through the structure, they push air across specially tuned tubes, creating random yet melodic sounds that shift with the sea's rhythm. Located beside the Monument to the Sun, a solar-powered light display, the Sea Organ offers a mesmerizing sensory experience at sunset, drawing visitors who gather to listen, relax, and connect with nature’s improvisation. It’s a must-hear landmark where architecture, art, and ocean converge.
